Because a shower can help clean off any dirt or bacteria that is on your body and it saves other people gettin dirty and possibly deseases from entering the pool
means you bring less dirt, oil, dead skin cells, bacteria etc etc into the pool when you go it
this way the pool doesnt become a gumbo of dirt and germs, and they dont have to waste money cleaning it more than they have to.

The ammonia in the sweat and urine combine with the chlorine to make chloramines which cause the eye burn and odors you get in a pool. Most codes require the level of chloramines to be under a certain level ( my county is .2 of your free chlorine). People think there is to much chlorine in a pool if they smell it or there eyes burn when it is the chloramines that cause it, so if you don't shower don't complain about it. Soap showers also reduce the amount of fecal matter that is brought into a pool helping to eliminate diseases that can be spread by fecal contmaination.
