Typically the general body type for swimming is short legs and a long torso. when you think about it your arms and midsection are the power house of your stroke and your legs are like the motor. You don't need long legs as long as they are strong. Look at Micheal Phelps, he is tall but his torso is longer than his legs and he is AMAZING.
