Nascar fans like Nascar for the same reason Football fans like Football. But I would say Nascar is more exciting than football only because its a 4 hour 200 mph thrill ride with no time outs, no room for mistakes, 3 wide racing inches away form the wall, never knowing what might happen next. So if you dont agree with this than you should be sticking to your stick and ball sports, Nascar is a real mans sport. Who else would show up 2 days before a race to have a tailgating party and sit in the sun to watch there favorite driver blow by the grandstands at blazing speeds other than a true fan of Nascar.

You can usually see the whole track, which makes for a very exciting time. You can listen to the drivers in their cars talking to their teams. this is nearly imposible at indycar and F1 since they run interfearance through the scanner. the party that starts on Friday and ends on Sunday. the race is the end of the party.

By definition, NASCAR is a sport.

Sport -noun

An athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, Baseball, tennis, golf, Bowling, Wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.

Well, this is the definition of a sport. The three primary parts of this entry are the following:

-An athletic activity

-Requires skill or physical prowess

-Of a competitive nature.

NASCAR is certainly of a competitive nature, so let's cross that off the list.

-Of a competitive nature.

NASCAR requires control. That is a skill. Again, very competitive. Let's cross that off.

-Requires skill

-Of a competitive nature.

NASCAR requires physial prowess because of the following: It is endurance, as sitting in that car is over 120 degrees while controlling it.

-An athletic activity

-Requires skill

-Of a competitive nature.

This is not opinion. This is definition.

Look at an F1 car. They are one of the highest technical machines built. Everything from the aerodynamic to the engines to the steering wheel. Its incredible how a small tweak here or there can change the performance on the car. Look at the front wing, yes these cars have wings that work in complete opposite as a plane wing. The front wings are a piece of art with all the little winglets and curves on them just to direct the air flow to where it can be used. Look at the cock pit. A structure built with high tech materials that are stronger than steel but lighter to protect the driver. Look at the engines. Built to rev to 18,000 rpms and are very reliable. Look at the gear boxes, what a work of art and technology. Listen to a F1 car at 18,000 rpms, wow nothing like the scream of it. Look at the driver. Look at the F1 car, what an awesome piece of machinery that man has built. Watch them take a turn at a high rate of speed, Unbelievable with the technology of the tires.
