Hockey is an expensive sport. It is also considered dangerous, which it is although in my opinion it all pays off.
Well Some schools dont even known they had hockey
Yes. some schools have them and some don't.
6 out of 8 ivy league schools have hockey teams in Division one. The Ivy League schools that include hockey teams are: Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Cornell and Brown.
Field hockey is not as popular in some countries as others, especially where other sports are seen as more important or where it has direct competition (e.g. ice hockey). In these areas, it usually takes a back seat, but in most of the world, field hockey is one of the most well supported games, and particularly in high schools and universities.
Because, very few people support it. There isn't to many states around anymore that allow their high schools to have hockey as a program.. except the states with colder weather, for some reason. I typically think that hockey is an outstanding sport and think it should be spread nationally all around high schools, but that is just my opinion.
