NBA players sweat a LOT during the course of a game (obviously). The "lap towel" serves 2 primary purposes.
1.) It helps to dry the sweat and cool the temperature from the upper-legs (thighs) because of all of the energy that NBA players extol from usage of their legs. This allows the thigh muscles too cool off at an athletically appropriate pace so that the leg doesn't become over-taxed and/or cramp up.
2.) The towel also helps to prevent sweat-induced odors from wafting upward from the players' groin areas (aka: "meat lockers"), thus, helping to prevent the bench area from smelling like a big salty nut sack. [Consider it the NBA's "Dirty Little Secret" lol]
Hope this helps!

Bench strength is the quality and number of players available to substitute during a sports match, or the competence and number of employees willing and ready to fill vacant leadership and other positions.
There are 11 players on the pitch at a time, and five players as substitutes on the bench.
The term bench points in basketball refers to how many points the non-starting players of a team score in a game. They are called bench points, because the player begins the game sitting on the bench, as opposed to on the court. These points do not count more or less than the points scored by starters.
Probably torres.
5 players for both teams are allowed on the court at once. They can have any number of bench players
That would depend based on the League or Association. In the National Basketball Association, there are 12 players that dress for a game which would make 7 reserve players for each game.
there are 17 in a team with 13 starters and 4 bench players.
