It is possible it can be banned, but it is not cruel. Most greyhounds love to race, and if treated properly while trained and raced, they are healthy and perfectly happy. I know a greyhound trainer who has around fifteen dogs, has trained about 300 and has only had one retire due to injury. As for the dogs who don't enjoy it, they will probably not race well and be retired as a family pet. The simple answer is it can be banned, but there's no need to.

∙ 12y agobecause it is disgusting! the horses get hurt so badly and look at the poor filly eight belles! last year she collapsed and tried and tried to get up but she couldn't because her front ankles had SNAPPED! it was totally 100% the jockey's fault and he just got up and left. horse racing does terrible things to humans and horses alike!
