Pepper was a warm-up game or an exercise played before a game to improve hand and eye coordination. A small group of fielders would toss a ball to a batter at close range and the batter would hit It back. The player that fielded the ball would quickly toss it back to be hit again. It was usually done around the side lines, and backstop area. Because of the potential rick of injury to a fan or other players it was banned from the ball fields.

How do you say baseball in Finland?

If you mean the Finnish version of the baseball, it's called pesäpallo. In Finnish pesä means "base" and pallo means "ball", or the literally meaning is "nest ball". If you mean (North American) baseball, then you just say baseball.
