* In addition, certain types of carbohydrates can be bad for you!

carbohydrate's are basically sugar in various forms. They are good for you because sugar is energy for the body and your body needs energy to live and move and think and to do everything else you do.

There are good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates though; good ones would be 'complex' carb's which are found in rice, potatoes, corn, etc... 'Bad' car'bs are called 'simple' which is basically white sugar; like coke and pepsi, junk food, candy, syrup and so on.

Carbs can be used as energy if you eat the right amount of them... If you eat to many. they can turn into fat. Carbs are good for long terms immediatley
