What is the diffrence between softball and baseball?

Well, for starters, softball uses a larger ball. You are also not allowed to "steal" bases in slowpitch-softball, but you can in fastpitch softball. Baseball pitchers throw overhand while all softball pitchers pitch underhand. Softball bats' barrels are also slightly larger. The first base in softball is a double-base so the first basemen and the batter don't interfere with each other whereas in baseball there is only a single base. The balls used in baseball, slowpitch and fastpitch are all different. Baseball uses the smallest ball, slowpitch uses 11" balls and fastpitch uses 12" balls.

What is the difference between a baseball bat and a softball bat and can they be used in the different leagues?

A softball bat has a fatter barrel tot he bat, as well as a larger length-weight differential. Also, the length of the barrel is longer on a softball bat, as it starts lower on the bat. No they cannot be used in different leagues since softball bats have the larger length-weight differential (maximum in Major League Baseball is -3) and the barrel is too large (standard barrel is 2 3/4 ")AnswerBaseball bat barrels are usually fatter in diameter, heavier and have adifferent COR value (this determines the speed the ball rebounds off the bat) the balls rebound is slower for a softball bat.

Do all paintball guns' barrels come apart?

no, there are single piece barrels that are just one piece of (typically) aluminum, 2 piece barrels that split in the middle and then barrel kits which have multiple pieces

Do college baseball players use big barrels?

yes

What is the difference between Sly Barrels and Stiffi Barrels?

The companies will boast about how different they are, but really the only difference is the prices, the backs, and the designs.

How is engineering involved with baseball?

"There is a tremendous amount of physics and engineering that goes into the design of a baseball or softball bat, especially the new high-tech aluminum and composite bats which are currently dominating the market. There is also an amazing amount of physics involved in the bat-ball collision, and in the performance and behavior of the bat itself. My interest in the physics of baseball bats began in 1998 when I was setting up a laboratory experiment for my students and decided to have them look at the vibrational behavior of a youth baseball bat. Now, several years later, vibrational and acoustic analysis of softball and baseball bats has become my primary area of research. I have been able to correlate the vibrational frequencies of bat barrels to measured performance, and have signicantly contributed to an understanding of the trampoline effect in a hollow bat. In addition, my vibrational analysis of the bending modes of a bat has added to the understanding of perception and feel, including why some bats sting more or less than others. My research has been presented before international meetings of the Acoustical Society of America, the International Sports Engineering Association, the Sporting Goods and Manufacturers Association, and the Baseball and Softball Equipment Subcommittee of the American Society for Testing and Materials, and several publications are forthcoming. Included on these webpages are answers to often asked questions concerning the physics of baseball bats. An important distinction for my webpages is that the articles provided below are not opinions, but are based on a thorough reading of the available published research literature as well as results from my own experimental research. A full listing of references is attached to each article so interested readers can look up the facts for themselves. Also included on this site are summaries of my research into the vibrational behavior of bats. Can autococker barrelsfit on A-5 barrels?

I think you are asking if autococker barrels will fit on an A-5. The answer is no; Autocockers and A-5s use completely different threads.
