India was disqualified from the 1950 world cup held in Brazil, because the Indian players wanted to play without wearing football boots, they claimed they could not play with the boots on as they were not used to it.But F.I.F.A rules say all players must wear boots with studs, F.i.F.A were scared players would break their legs. So India was disqualified.
