Ski jumping is a very beautiful sport. It has elegance and strengh in it.There are few tournaments that are held every year. The most popular and prestige is 4 Hills Tournaments. It is held on 4 hills in Germany and Austria. The places where are competitons held are: Oberstdorf and Garmisch Parten Kirchen in Germany and in Innsbruck ans Bischofshofen in Austria. The award is money and a car. 4 Hills Tournament in 2007 was won by Norvegian Anders Jacobsen in his World Cup debut. As a matter of fact, after two hills leader was debutant from Austria Gregor Schlierenzauer, but extremly bad jumps and 11th place in his hometown put him after Jacobsen. Next tournament that is held every year is Nordic Tournament. It is held in Finnland and Norway and it has 4 hills too. Those hills are in Lahti and Kuopio (Finnland) and in Lillehamer and Oslo (Norway). The final result was similar as by 4 Hills Tournament; Jacobsen was first and Schlierenzauer ended up in runner up position once more. The award for winner is 25.000 euros and meeting with norvegian royal famoly. However, the 2006/2007 season was won by Adam Malysz from Poland. Jacobsen ended 2nd and Schlierenzauer 3rd.
