Personally, I class ECW as we know and sometimes love as starting when Paul Heyman became Booker of the promotion in 1993, when it was still known as Eastern Championship Wrestling. The first show under his regime was Ultra Clash 1993, and opened with a tag match won by Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge, the Public Enemy.
