I will answer this two ways: 1) The first city to have a team win a Super Bowl and a World Series in the same calender year was New York. The New York Jets won Super Bowl III, played January 12, 1969 and the New York Mets won the 1969 World Series. 2) The first city to have a team win a Super Bowl and World Series in each sport's respective season was Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Pirates won the 1979 World Series and the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl played for the 1979 season, that being Super Bowl XIV played on January 20, 1980. The New England Patriots and the Boston Red Soxs both won their respective championships in 2004 being the first to do so.
Boston is the most recent city to have championship teams in all four major sports.
no city has, but Boston in 2007 the Redsox won the world series the bruins made the playoffs and the patriots made the super bowl
In 1998, the Super Bowl was held in Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego (formerly Jack Murphy Stadium). That fall the San Diego Padres made the World Series, losing to the New York Yankees The 2010-2011 Super Bowl is scheduled to be held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. The 2010 Texas Rangers are American League Champions and the 2010 World Series will be held at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington across the street from Cowboys Stadium. Although not the same calender year; (the Super Bowl will be in February of 2011, and the World Series in Oct-Nov 2010) the two events are the championship venues of the concurrent season.
After a quick Wiki comparison, it appear that this has happened 4 times through 2008: the 1970 Orioles with the Colts winning the Super Bowl in January, 1971; The '79 Pirates with the Steelers winning both the '79 and '80 super bowls; the '86 Mets with the Giants winning the January, 1987 Super Bowl, and the 2004 Red Sox with the Patriots winning the February, '05 super bowl. There were also 2 close calls: the '80 Phillies with the Eagles losing the Jan '81 super bowl, and in 1989 the A's defeated the Giants across the bay in the World Series, and the '49ers won the January, 1990 super Bowl.
Indianapolis, IN will host the Super Bowl in 2012.
Miami will be hosting the 2010 Super Bowl
As of Super Bowl XLVII, no.
