I remember a place kicker with the New Orleans Saints whose last name was Dempsey. For a long time he held the record for the longest field goal at, I think, 64 yards. He didn't have any toes on his right foot, but I don't know the reason for that. Hope that helps. The Sarge
Dempsey was born without toes on his right foot. He was also born with only one hand, I'm not sure which one.
