"April 26, 1983 -- BILLS HAVE TWO NO. 1 PICKS IN 1983 DRAFT Buffalo's first No. 1 choice in the 1983 NFL Draft was TE Tony Hunter from Notre Dame (12th overall pick). With Buffalo's second first round pick, they selected QB Jim Kelly from the University of Miami. In the second round, Buffalo took West Virginia LB Darryl Talley." Looks like 4/26 based on this Bills history. Found here http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:Uf3RkmX5fGkJ:www.buffalobills.com/history/April.jsp+1983+nfl+draft+what+day&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=9

Their first round choice, OT Chris Hinton, in the 1983 NFL draft along with QB Mark Herrmann and their first choice in the 1984 Draft.
Depends which draft you look at: In the now-defunct United States Football League, the Los Angeles Express made Marino the 1st pick in the 1983 draft, and consequently the first draft pick in the history of the USFL. But Marino never signed a contract with this team. In the NFL draft the Miami Dolphins chose Marino with the 27th pick of the 1983 draft. Marino signed, and played his entire career with the Dolphins.
Elway was the first overall choice in the 1983 NFL draft by the Boltimore Colts.
