In a trade with the Atlanta Falcons for halfback Tom Moore prior to the 1967 season. After spending six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers (1961-1966) Casey was traded, along with OT Jim Wilson and DE Jim Norton, to the Falcons for the Falcons 1st round draft choice in the 1967 NFL draft. He was then dealt to the Rams and never played a down with the Falcons.
