Ray Herbert was a Major League Pitcher that could either start or relieve he started with Detroit in 1950, went to Kansas City in 1955 and then went to the Chicago White Sox during the 1961 season and then went to Philadelphia for the 1965 season and for his last season in 1966 remained with Philadelphia. His career ERA was 4.01 and his innings pitched were at 1,881.1. Herbert struck out a total of 864 batters in his career, he had a career high of 122 strikeouts in 1960 with Kansas City and he saved a career high 6 games in 1953 with Detroit.
