When Lenin died in 1924 who would replace him Stalin or Trotsky?

Lenin wanted Trotsky to succeed him, because he felt that Stalin was too power hungry and crude. Lenin even wrote that before he died, but Stalin found out about it and suppressed it. Stalin as Secretary General of the Communist Party had placed many people loyal to him in high party office and had allied himself with Grigory Zinoviev and Lev Kamenev (both of whom hated Trotsky). Trotsky found himself isolated and without support to succeed Lenin. Stalin, Zinoviev and Kamenev ruled after Lenin died, but Stalin gradually eliminated them too and took complete control in 1928.

Why did people hate Lenin?

Because they have been brainwashed into thinking communism is bad and entails a dictatorship. They have been led to believe that Stalin=communism, when in fact Lenin wanted Stalin to be removed from his position (Lenins Testament) and wanted Trotsky to succeed him.

True or false Joseph Stalin and Lenin were eye to eye on how communism should be secured in the new soviet union?

False. In actuality, before Lenin's death, he had written that Stalin should not succeed him because he [Stalin] is more extreme & it would be dangerous.

What does in order to succeed your desire for success should be greater than your failure mean?

Try putting "desire for" in front of "failure" at the end of your question and see if that makes sense to you. If not, try adding 2+3, which is alittle harder than 2+2. If you can do that, you should be able to figure it out. Hint: If your desire to succeed is not greater than your desire to fail, you will most likely not succeed at that which you desire to succeed at. "Not succeed": meaning you will most likely fail at that, in which youhave a desire to succeed.
