Oail Andrews "Bum" Phillips was head coach of the Houston Oilers spanning the 1975 through 1980 seasons, winning 55 of 90 games and winning four playoff games. He then coached the New Orleans Saints for the 1981-5 seasons, but managing only 27 wins in 69 games. He first joined the Oilers in 1974 as defensive coordinator.
