to start off i want to say that jerry west is amazingly talented and is one of the greatest Basketball players in the nba and at wvu. now, to answer you question, jerry west was before Micheal Jordan, Larry bird, etc. the logo was made in his time and he basically made the nba so popular. besides, he was amazing!
