Celtic player Momo Sylla was training with his international team Guinea in France when he was approached by a young Didier Drogba who was playing for a local side at the time, the young Drogba told Sylla he was interested in playing for Celtic and asked him if he could arrange a trial for him at the Scottish club, Sylla told Drogba that with Celtic having Larsson, Sutton and Hartson in the forward positions he did not believe there was a place for the youngster in the Celtic squad at that time and that he should pursue his football elsewhere.
