∙ 14y agoLenin replaced the Provisional Government (PG) then headed by Alexander Kerensky when Lenin and the Bolsheviks seized power on October 25, 1917 (Julian calendar). Kerensky had replaced Prince Georgy L'vov as head of the PG. The Provisional Government under L'vov had replaced Tsar Nicholas II as the governing authority in Russia after the February Revolution of 1917. Joseph Stalin replaced Lenin after Lenin died.
