Who is the world brave army force?

Over centuries of human history there have been many brave armies, and here are only a few who are known troughout the world for their courage.

The 300 Spartans defending the pass trough Termopilae against an army of nearly 200 000 Persian soldiers. The Spartans decided to remain at Termopilae with their king, Leonidas, so the rest of the greek army can assemble and find a better fighting position. The Spartans fought for three days, to the last man, and killed over 10 000 persians. They were only defeated when the Persians found a way to go around them and attack from behind.

The Roman army, fought the king of Epirus, who brought elephants into the fight. In the end the Romans fled and were defeated, but the king of Epirus had lost so many people, that he had no way of winning another battle. After seeing the bravery of the Roman troops he said "If I had soldiers like that, I would conquer the world."

The Serbian knights under command of knez Lazar, fought the Ottoman army on the field of Kosovo. The Serbs all died, however the Ottoman army was severly crippled. Serbia was lost, but the Ottomans no longer had the power to take over central Europe and Italy as they had planed.

Balian of Ibelin's knights who you might know from the movie Kingdom of Heaven (Balian played by Orlando Bloom). However Balian was a historic figure and a christian knight that defended Jerusalem with a handfull of knights against the noble sultan Saladin. As in the movie Balian surrendered the city after a few days, in order to save christian women and children.

I will mention the Serbs again, this time in during WWI when they retreated to Greece when Austria ocupied their land. As almost no help arrived, the Serbs apparently decided to return by themselves and free the country of Austrians. In a lighting strike they freed their country and pushed the more powerfull Austria into surrender. By some reports the Serbs didn't rest at all and the French cavalry regiment aiding them couldn't catch up to their infantry.

The only modern brave army was most probably the Red Army of USSR which first retreated before the Germans, and took up positions in Stalingrad where they decimated the Nazis. After securing Stalingrad and Moscow, the Red Army pushed foward eventually reaching all the way to Berlin and ending WWII.
