the winner is mohit...
A winner is the person or team that comes in first place in a competition, while a runner-up is the person or team that comes in second place. The winner is typically the one who achieves the ultimate goal of the competition, while the runner-up falls just short of that goal.
well... that all depends on the amount of energy, the course, and the feeling of the runner at that specific time. i race cross country and the winner for my jr high school is at a 5:40 mile... good but not the best. so no there is no specific fastest cross country runner. For a 5k (3.1 miles), which is what high schoolers run the best time is 15:02. Evan Apple used to run at my school and he ran at a time of 15:10. He was 3rd in the nation. Craig Lutz is the fastest high school cross country runner in the nation.
The winner was Brandi M. and the runner up was Destiney
Winner: Teyona Runner Up: Allison
Season 11 winner was: Winner:Phillip Phillips Runner Up: Jessica Sanchez
Actually, the Runner Up did better. The runner up was an excellent, all-around singer that could sing anything thrown at him, while the winner could only sing a few things well. It was a matter of prejudice against the runner up, which is why he was a runner up and not the winner, even though the runner up (Adam Lambert) was better than the winner. The runner up definitely did better this year- Adam Lambert was clearly the best.

It means that you are neither a winner, runner up, but one of a select group from which a winner will be chosen.
£100,000 for the winner, £30,000 for the runner up.
