On June 19, 2015, Alex Rodriguez hit a first-inning home run off Detroit's Justin Verlander at Yankee Stadium for his 3,000th career hit. Rodriguez became the 29th player in the history of Major League Baseball to reach the 3,000 mark.
I don't know any 'Robert Cemente', but Roberto Clemente was a very important and famous baseball player, first player to reach the 3000 hits in history.

No. Pete Rose (4256 hits) and Rafael Palmeiro (3020 hits) will probably never be elected to the Hall due to 'crimes' against baseball (Rose for gambling and Palmeiro for taking performance enhancing substances). Craig Biggio (3060 hits) must wait out the 5 years between retirement and election ... he will be eligible for election to the Hall in 2013.
