Denzel Bowles (born 1 May 1989) is a professional Basketball player. He is a James Madison University alumni. In May, 2012, Bowles was chosen as import for the B-meg Llamados and helped the team to a championship victory. He was fouled with 1.7 seconds left in the championship game, and nailed both free throws to send the game into overtime. He grabbed the Best Import Award during that 2012 PBA Commissioner's Cup and helped the Llamados won the championship with his monster performance. Bowles finished that game with 39 points and 21 rebounds. He's standing 6-feet 11-inches long.
Came 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup. The reigning best import went back to the PBA to help B-meg Llamados (now San Mig Coffee Mixers) defend their championship crown and his best import crown as well. The mixers had a roller-coaster conference, they've been ups and downs, and yet, they ended 4th after the elimination round which qualified the team to quarterfinals. The mixers with Bowles' monster performance defeated the Meralco Bolts in a best-of-3-series (do-or-die game) and moved to the semis. They faced the no. 1 seed Alaska Aces, but unfortunately, had not successfully defended their crown after game 4 of their best-of-5 series. But still, Bowles managed to show his best as well as the locals. And for the San Mig Coffee Planet and all the SMCM fans, Denzel Bowles is still the best!
