DeMarcus Ware is the Dallas Cowboys' all-time sacks leader with 117. He was selected by the Cowboys in the first round of the 2005 National Football League college draft from Alabama's Troy University (formerly Troy State). Ware was an outside linebacker for the Cowboys until the 2013 season, when the team switched from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 defense.

He reached an agreement to sign with the Denver Broncos on March 12, 2014, one day after the Cowboys released him for salary cap reasons. He earned a world championship ring when the Broncos won Super Bowl 50 with a 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers on February 7, 2016.

Ware, who announced his retirement on March 13, 2017, ended his career with 138.5 sacks -- eighth on the NFL's all-time list.
