Chris Herd (born April 4, 1989 in Perth) is an Australian soccer player who currently plays for Aston Villa as a midfielder.

Having begun his Aston Villa career as a youth player in 2005, Herd spent some time at Port Vale and Wycombe Wanderers in 2008, and a short spell at Lincoln City from 2009 to 2010. Herd began playing professionally for Aston Villa in 2010.
