Isaac Asimov (1929-1992) was an American author of "hard" Science Fiction. Along with Arthur C. Clark and Robert Heinlein, he was considered one of the "big three" of 20th century science fiction writing. A professor of biochemistry, Asimov wrote over 300 books including many nonfiction titles. Not limited to science fiction, Asimov also wrote mysteries, humorous books, biblical guides, Shakespearean guides and science titles.
