The pace car changes every race. However, if you are talking about Daytona 500, it probably went into their museum. Any other race(s), they may have trailered, or drove, it around for how ever many other races it was scheduled to pace. If this is the case, then Chevy probably retained possesion. Also in my past experiences, there are usually actually 2. A back up, in case one breaks down. If this is the case, to increase value, they may alternate so that they can say they were both "actual" pace cars. Chevy has been know to rid those cars at the Barret Jackson auctions, from time to time.
