Chris Hanburger, one of the greatest, and maybe his number should have been retired, but after that I think either Mel Kaufman or Monte Coleman had the same one. ---- Coleman wore #51. Kauffman wore #55. Also Andre Collins wore #55 for the Redskins. For the 2008 season, #55 will be worn by Jason Taylor.

∙ 11y agoThe most famous player to wear number 72 for the Washington Redskins would have to be All-Pro defensive end Dexter Manley (1981-89). Also worth noting are Pro Bowl defensive tackle Joe Rutgens (1961-69) and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Diron Talbert (1971-80).
