What is a specilised cell?

Every cell type have specialized proteins embedded in the plasma membrane making that cell specialized for a specific function. Muscle cells in our body are specialized for contraction. Nerve cells are specialized in conduction of messages.

What is a type of cell that performs specific functions?

Cells that are formed into Tissues collectively carry out specialized functions - for example, muscle Cells are specialized for [movement via] contraction; bone Cells are specialized for first structure, and then strength. There are two hundred and twenty types of Tissues.

What type of cell controls body functions?

Neurons are the type of cells that control body functions. They are specialized cells of the nervous system that transmit electrical signals to various parts of the body, allowing for communication between different systems and regulating bodily functions such as movement, sensation, and cognition.

What are specialized cells and what type of organism are they found?

specialized cells are cells that exist for a specific function for example skin cells or brain cells or liver cells. all multicellular organisms have specialized cells. unicellular organisms do not because they have to carry out all the functions of an entire organism while a skin cell does not have to "worry" about cleaning toxins from the body for example.

The body's cells need nutrients every time?

The cells of the body need nutrients to carry out all their functions. Like:GrowthDivisionEnergy productionOther specialized functions (depending on the cell type)

WHY are there so many types of cancer?

The most basic way to think of cancers is to say that they are caused by cells that are mutated somehow. All the cells in the human body are specialized for a certain type of job; for every type of specialized cell that mutates, a cancer can result.

Why are there so many different types of cancers?

The most basic way to think of cancers is to say that they are caused by cells that are mutated somehow. All the cells in the human body are specialized for a certain type of job; for every type of specialized cell that mutates, a cancer can result.

What is the relationship beween cells and tissues?

A tissue is a group of cells, therefore, a specialized tissue is a grouping of a specific type of specialized cells.

Why do cells in your body need to be specellized?

Multicellular organisms are much more complex. The body needs to supply food and nutrients, transport materials, remove wastes, and fight infections. Specialized cells carry out different functions in order for the body to function properly.

What is the importance of myosin in the body?

Muscles are a type of tissue composed of contractile cells or fibers that effect MOVEMENT of a part of the human body, that allows you to move your body... :)

Why do fireflies have different type of specialized cells?

Fire flies produce light. For that they have special cells.

How do stem cells differentiate from other cells?

Stem cells are different from other cells in the body in several notable ways. They can divide and renew themselves many times, whereas other cells are more limited in their divisions. And when those stem cells divide, the new cells can become specialized if necessary. Stem cells have no assigned function in the body, but through the process of specialization, they can take on roles in any of the body's tissues. These type of cells can be derived from human embryos or from certain spots in the adult human body.
