Not in MLB. Other leagues such as youth leagues or co-rec leagues may have different rules.
American Professional Baseball is made up into 2 divisions or leagues. After a season of play and a couple of weeks of playoffs the 2 leagues, the American and National send their champions to the World Series. Although called the World Series there are only American teams participating. The recent World baseball classic showed American baseball is not the only dominate team around.
Robinson was a product of the Negro Leagues, which played a more daring and exciting brand of baseball. He brought that bold style of play to the major leagues in 1947, particularly in the areas of baserunning and basestealing.
It didn't. Negros wern't allowed to play the in the same league as whites, but when Jackie Robinson joined the white league other negros tried to and eventually they became the same league.

Technically, yes.In the AMERICAN LEAGUE, the pitcher can bat, but is usually batted for with a designated hitter. In the NATIONAL LEAGUE the pitcher always bats,In both leagues, all the other players bat regularly.
No. Both the American and National Leagues must abide to the Official MLB Rules. The only difference between the two leagues is that the National League elects not to use the Designated Hitter Rule. Both leagues have the option to use it or not use it at the beginning of any game. Even if one team uses the Designated Hitter Rule, the other team may elect not to use it in the same game if they want to.
There are two leagues in American major league baseball, the American League and the National League. The American League has the designated hitter rule which allows for someone other than the pitcher to bat in the pitcher's place. The pitcher does not bat in the American League. The National League does not have the designated hitter rule. The pitcher does bat in the National League.
The commissioner and creator of baseball, in the time Major League Baseball was organized, wanted the championship to be decided by the top teams in each league. A scout is someone who either looks for prospects in the minor leagues, or scouts out other teams, looking for anybody to pay attention to.
I've never heard of the American Baseball League. However, if you're referring to the American League of Major League Baseball, it's got nothing to do with what country the team is from. If that was the case, there'd be no need for AL or NL as all teams with the exception of the Jays are American teams. It's basically the same concept as having the American Football League and Nationl Football Conference in the NFL. It makes for good playoff seasons when you have the best of both leagues against each other rather than the top 8 of the same league against each other.
