Through Super Bowl XLIV, one. That was the 2000 New York Giants that lost to the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XXXV.
The quarterback that was on the most Super Bowl teams was backup Gale Gilbert. He was on the roster of the four Buffalo Bills teams that went to the Super Bowl (Super Bowls XXV through XXVIII) and the San Diego Chargers team that played in Super Bowl XXIX, a total of five Super Bowls. Incredibly, his team lost the Super Bowl each time.
Nine NFL wild-card teams have reached the Super Bowl, but only five have won world championships. The winning teams are in bold:1975 Dallas Cowboys (Lost Super Bowl X).1980 Oakland Raiders (Won Super Bowl XV).1985 New England Patriots (Lost Super Bowl XX).1992 Buffalo Bills (Lost Super Bowl XXVII).1997 Denver Broncos (Won Super Bowl XXXII).1999 Tennessee Titans (Lost Super Bowl XXXIV).2000 Baltimore Ravens (Won Super Bowl XXXV).2005 Pittsburgh Steelers (Won Super Bowl XL).2007 New York Giants. (Won Super Bowl XLII).

Gale Gilbert was a backup quarterback for the Buffalo Bills for the four years they went to the Super Bowl and lost (Super Bowls XXV-XXVIII) and was the backup quarterback for the San Diego Chargers in Super Bowl XXIX.
As of Super Bowl XLII, that has never happened. The only time an undefeated team has played in the Super Bowl, before this season's Patriots, is the 1972 Miami Dolphins and they defeated the Washington Redskins, 14-7, in Super Bowl VII.
