How Does the Rugby world cup pools system work?
In basic teams who do not automatically qualify (those who are always qualifying at this time are the founders of the RWC)play other teams in their group - the over all winner in the fist stages move to second stage where they are pooled and play again against other pool winners. This continues until they ahave the remaining 24 teams. These are the teams that will play in the finals.
