Good question, but the answer is difficult. The problem lies with whether a song about a team was an official theme song or not. There was a tune called "Cubs on Parade" that was released by several groups in 1908, however there is no indication that there was an effort by the team to make it an "official" song. The Fightin' Phils was released in 1950 and was associated with the Phillies for many years. The closest thing to an "official" theme song from the 50's would probably be Follow the Dodgers. It was released on a 78rpm record in 1951, however it had been played by Gladys Goodding as the Brooklyn Dodgers took the field at the beginning of the game for many years. Again, not really an "official" song, but any Dodger fan would consider it the "unofficial" song and would readily associate the team with the song. Other songs about teams that fall into the unofficial theme song category would be: The Battling Boston Braves Come On You Cubs, Play Ball Dodgers Fan Dance Go Go Sox Oriole Victory Song Milwaukee Braves Polka Our Indians Red Sox Polka The Giants March Those Cleveland Indians There are many other songs about teams, however none of them (to my knowledge) were ever considered "theme songs"
