There are almost weekly endurance races for Arabians (and other breeds if entered) in Qatar, they tend to start from around the capital city Doha, or in nearby villages, many go for roughly 120 kilometers (74.5 miles). There were historical races of course, but many of the routes were lost to time since many were not recorded on paper.
