The men's game is faster and more powerful than the ladies game. But the game is still played the same. Both the men and the ladies set screens to get players open for jump shots and layups, both block out opponents in the paint to gain rebounds, both need teamwork to win, both need to play good defense, both need to make their free throws.
Other than size and speed, there really isn't that much difference between the NBA and the WNBA.

Average viewership for games broadcast on national television was 413,000 (up from 346,000 in 2007). In 2008, the WNBA finished up in key Demographics on ESPN2 -- Women 18-34 (+71%) and Men 18-34 (+28%) - and on ABC -- All Women (+10%) and Women 18-34 (+20%). Ratings remain poor in comparison to NBA games. WNBA games averaged just 413,000 viewers, compared to 1.46 million viewers for NBA games. However, the WNBA gets more viewers on national television broadcasts than both Major League Soccer(253,000) and the [[NHL]] (310,732).

For instance, during March Madness, College Basketball is easily more watched. During the NBA playoffs, the NBA basketball is more watched. However, throughout the entire season, the NBA is more watched.
