Definately the -10 if you swing the bat fast enough, which you'd have to swing pretty slow not to. The -10 is the best for you probably (more pop)
a demarini -13,-12,-11 or -10 drop
There is a slow-pitch BASEBALL bat is more for Little League. A fast-pitch BASEBALL bat is mostly 10 and under or 12 and under or even 14 and under. There isn't a slow-pitch and a fast-pitch BASEBALL bat. Meaning they cant be morphed together.
This really is a question with no answer. The question also leaves out -10's, -8's, and -5's. You want a bat that you can swing fast enough and be comfortable with. A heavier bat will carry itself better when you hit the ball, ecspecially if you can get good bat speed. That's the reason people get heavier bats. Just get a bat that you can swing good but it should not feel like a twig. This really is a question with no answer. The question also leaves out -10's, -8's, and -5's. Hi, -12 or -anything is the length to weight ratio. So for example if your bat is 32 inches it will be 20oz
the difference is that if you have a 30 inch bat the weight is 10 ounces less than the length on a -12 its 12 ounces less than the length. in high school and college aluminum bats have a -3 ratio.
I doubt there is a rule requiring a specific drop. Most players at that age would be using -10 or -12.
Yes, certain bats are. If they are metal, they must be BBCOR certified. If they aren't, then it's illegal. However, any size of wooden bat is legal for play *as a side-note, I have been umpiring for 3 years, so I know what I'm talking about
34 inch marucci
It stands for drop 10. The drop of a bat depends on what the length and weight is. You find out the drop by subtracting the weight from the length. So if your bat was 32 inches long and 22 ounces then it would be drop 10 (-10) if your bat was 32 inches and 25 ounces then it would be drop 7 (-7)
The -12 is the 'drop' of the bat and means the number of ounces the bat weighs is 12 less than the number of inches the bat is in length. If you have a 32 inch bat, a -12 drop means the bat weighs 20 ounces. If you have a 30 inch bat, a -12 drop means the bat weighs 18 ounces. If you know the length of the bat in inches and the drop, you can figure out how many ounces the bat weighs.
Bat Length Minus The Drop = Bat Weight "The Drop" is a common term for describing the weight of an aluminum bat. It is unique to aluminum and composite bats as the weight of a wood bat varies somewhat within each bat. The drop simply means you take the length of the bat and subtract the drop to determine the weight. For Example: The DeMarini CF4 is a -10 and is available in 31", 32", 33" and 34". Therefore, a 31" would weigh 21 ounces, a 32" would weigh 22 ounces and so on.
