I would say it's a matter of opinion but statistically it is Manchester United. Their defense has a good fair play record than most English clubs apart from Chelsea and Manchester City. It has the best clean sheet/games ratio and all of the defenders have a place in their various national teams. With two world class center backs in Vidic and Ferdinand, the best left in the world, Patrice Evra and an O.K right back in Rafael there is no surprise. In fact, it is probably the best defense in Europe or the world.
