In my opinion Chuch Hill Fins are the best at the moment and Hydro Tech 2 are good but have alot of bad opinions of them unlike Church Hill. Churchill are especialy good i big surf.
when your paddling and trying to get on a wave yes. fins are probably one of the most useful things you can buy besides the bodyboard.
you need a board, a good pair of fins, wax, a wetsuit if you are gonna surf in cold water, and a rash guard if you think your gonna get board rash.

Fins are used to help keep a rocket stable. The only way to find out if more fins will make it more stable is by testing it.
Having fins will give you more control. Without fins you will be able to do surface 180's easier and landing tricks will be a little more forgiving.
if you have a wetsuit it best not to wax a bodyboard because the rubber part of the the chest part on your wetsuit gives you grip. If not then get ordinary sufboard wax and rub it in so it make a diamond pattern
I bought one and its been good
no usually just the tail , the other fins are for steering
Bodyboard
The sport in which a bodyboard is used is called bodyboarding. This is a surface water sport similar to surfing where the bodyboarder rides the crest, face, and curl of a wave which carries the surfer toward shore. This sport is also known as Boogieboarding.
