You can generally string your tennis racquet at any of the following places:
the strings in a tennis racquet are simply called "strings".
To string a racquet, you will need to purchase a string machine which can be found at most tennis site, or you could bring it to your local tennis store and ask if they string racquets. They usually charge around $20.00 per racquet.

You actually only need one piece of string to string a racquet. The string has to be about 10m long though! it all depends on what you are looking for from the string. The most you should use though is two, one for the main strings (lengthways) and one for the crosses.
not the racquet but the strings
ITF dictates use of shock absorber in a tennis racket. It can only be placed below the bottom cross string or above the top cross string.
Although the vast majority of ball movement (i.e., direction, trajectory, speed, and spin) is under the control of the person wielding the tennis racquet, the string can have a slightaffect on the ball, depending on its thickness (gauge) and how tightly it is strung onto the racquet, even though the ball is on the strings only 1/100th of a second. A tennis racquet usually weighs anywhere from 9 ounces to 12.5 ounces. Every tennis racquet has a different weight, and with lead tape, players can customize their tennis racquet's weight past the standard weight of the racquet.
