Goal Defenders, or GD's as they are commonly known as, are allowed in their third, including the shooting circle (or 'D' as it is also known as) and the centre third
goal defence is allowed up to the second line
goal attackers are allowed in their shooting third and the center third
the centre is allowed everywheer in the netball court besides the goal circles
center, the center is not allowed in the goal circles
WD or Wing Defence is allowed in the first 2 thirds of the court, the third they are in and the middle third. They are not allowed in the goal circle.
Defenders protect the goal. When the ball goes by the offence and the mid field it is the defenders jobs to kick the ball out.
GA or goal attack is allowed in the centre third, the goal third that there team is shooting on and the goal circle on that third of the court.
When you mean 'D', I am assuming that you mean the semi-circle in your teams goal. If you are the only positions in netball allowed in the semi-circle are Goal Shooter (GA), Goal Attack (GA), Goal Keeper (GK), and Goal Defence (GD). Keep in mind that the GS and GA are only allowed in their goal semi-circle and the GK and GD are only allowed in the opposition goal semi-circle. Hope this helped :) Vicky
the goal shooters are only allowed in their goal third
There are four main positions. The goal keeper, Defenders, Midfielders, and Strikers. The role of the strikers is to score the goals. Midfielders, their role is to control the centre of the field, give the ball to the strikers and help in defence. Defenders help defend the goal and give the ball through to the midfield. The keepers job is to defend the opposition from scoring a goal, he is even allowed to use his hands.
It means Goal Shooter - (GS). They are allowed in the 'D' and the area around the 'D' of the Netball Court.:)It means Goal Shooter - (GS). WA are allowed in the centre third, and the Goal Third in which their team is trying to score. however they cannot enter the "D" (also known as Shooting Circle, goal circle, and Semicircle.) this is an attacking position.C-Centre.C is allowed in all the thirds of the court but they cannot enter the "D". this is an attacking AND defending position, depending on which team has the ball.GA-Goal Attack. GA is allowed in the centre third and the goal third in which they are trying to score in. they allowed in the D and can shoot goals with the GS. this is an attacking position, so is GSWD-Wing Defense. WD is allowed in the centre third and the goal third in which the OPPOSITE team is trying to score in. this is a defending position, and it defends the WA. it is not allowed in the D.GD-Goal Defense. GD is allowed in the centre third and the goal third in which the opposite team is trying to score in .it is allowed in the D as it is defending the GA. it is a defending position.GK-Goal Keep. GK is allowed in the goal third in which the opposite team is trying to to score in. it is allowed in the D, as it is defending the Goal Shoot. it is a defending position.
the goal shooter (GS) and the goal attack (GA) are the only players on court allowed to shoot, the goal keeper (GK) and the goal defence (GD) try to stop the shooters from shooting.
