The first turbo charged Golf GTI went onto the market in August 1991. Volkswagen have updated the Golf many times since then and they are now introducing an electric car called the Golf blue-emotion.
yes
I have a Golf GTI 16V KR Engine Its number is KR 1288403 Can someone tell me what year it was manufactured?
Well, you can, but a turbo conversion is a lot of work. You're better off selling the car and buying one that already has the turbo option.
cal vw or your local parts store and they will tell you.
There are a multitude of turbos that can fit on an 02 golf. TO better answer your question, please state engine? is it the 2L, 1.8t, 2.6V6??
no not all golf gti's have a turbo on the newer golf's it's the one's with a red i in gti that are turboed ok buddy If you are buying a brand new Golf GTI, you can request that the model that you will buy has a turbo in it or none. Of course by adding this feature increases the price of the unit. If you are buying a second hand Golf GTI, I suggest that you research car advertisings first and locate a used Golf GTI with a turbo (if that is what you desire), compare prices and values/condition, then grab it. This way, you will get the specification you want at the price you can afford.
Interference engine You better get that belt changed.
how to change timing belt for 2003 1.8 liter turbo volkswagon engine
Yes, considering these two things. A TDI is a turbo charged engine to begin with and there are aftermarket kits available through performance dealers and websites.
It's a VAG Group engine, the 1.8 20v turbo. The 5v on the engine cover refers to 5 valves per cylinder. 5 (valves) x 4 (cylinders) = 20v. On Audi engine covers such as TT, A3 etc it said 5v Turbo. On the VW engine covers such as Golf GTI, Bora it said 1.8T. Hope this helps.
