1924 Games in Chamonix.

Jacob Tullin Thams of Norway was the first ever gold medalist in ski jumping at the Olympics. Thams also won a silver medal in sailing at the 1936 Summer Games in Berlin and is one of only four athletes in Olympic history to medal in both the Winter and Summer Olympics, along with Eddie Eagen of the United States (bobsled, boxing), Christa Luding-Rothenburger of East Germany (speed skating, cycling), and Clara Hughes of Canada (speed skating, cycling).
