They've done it twice: in 1971 with a 1-0 win, and in 2002 with a 2-2 draw.

----------------------

Actually whoever wrote the above is wrong, the 2 - 2 draw with Tottenham was in 2004, therefore, we won the league at White Hart Lane in 1971 and 2004.

Including when it was known as the old First Division, they have won the league 13 times. The only times they have won the title in sucessive years was when they won 3 in a row in 1933, 1934 and 1935. On no other occasion have they retained the league title. Since it became the Premier League in 1992, they have won it 3 times, but never retained it.

When did Everton last win a league title?

It's often said that Everton have never been relegated, but it just isn't true. They were relegated to the second division in 1931 and came straight back up the following year. They were also relegated in 1951, and came back to the top flight in 1954. They have spent more seasons in English Footballs top division than any other club (104 out of 109 season in total) and have the second longest unbroken run in the top flight. Arsenal have the longest, as they were promoted in 1919 (under suspicious circumstances) and have not been relegated since.
