Best Answer

Luxembourg first sent an official team to the Olympics at the 1912 Games in Stockholm. They sent 21 athletes to compete in gymnastics and athletics. They won no medals.

But the first athlete born in Luxembourg to compete at the Olympics was Michel Théato who won gold in the marathon at the 1900 Games in Paris. Michel lived in Paris and, at the time, was considered part of the French Olympic team.
