Rugby boots are usually stronger and usually have 10 studs, where soccer cleats have around 16. Depending on which position a player plays in rugby, their boots may be as light as soccer cleats (most backs) or heavier and sturdier (forwards). if your playing flank in rugby its ok to just wear soccer cleats because as flank you need light shoes and you need to run fast.
== == Baseball cleats are metal, and always that way. Softball cleats can be rubber, plastic, or metal. Metal cleats are only allowed in high school and college softball though.
Some differences between metal and plastic cleats are that metal ones may be more expensive they offer more traction of turf grass. Similarly, metal cleats are rigid while plastic ones can bend. Plastic cleats may be better for younger players and metal cleats are more suitable for older or adult baseball players.
