If your just getting your first sports bike I'd go with the Yamaha 600 r6s, it has a lot of horse power 123hp and about 173mph, pretty comfortable and looks to boot. I have a 2007 Honda F4I 600 and it's a bit more comfortable a few less horses around 100hp and 168mph. If you really want speed get a 2001-2006 Suzuki Hayabusa and put a power commander on it then you have a nice 200mph plus bike, SWEET
65mph on a good day.
