This depends on the track; most run anticlockwise (known as 'lefthanded' tracks) but some tracks are run clockwise (called 'righthanded' tracks).

I know there are 15 tracks in Ireland,There are something like 300 races a year,I should know,I did a repord on Ireland.
Left hand tracks such as Brazil give a complete different G-Force to the driver
the 2008 calender had 18 races, so 18 tracks. but they switch things up every so often, so there are a lot of tracks that have hosted races. but there is no such thing as an "only - f1" track. they've even raced at Indianapolis, going through the infield track. Hope this helps
Depends on the distance of the race and the length of the track itself. On most tracks, sprints (shorter races) start on the backstretch. On most tracks, routes (longer races) start near the finish line and go around the track one time.
The tracks being 400 meters is a good size; not requiring too much real estate and long enough for best races.
There are multiple races held every year. The number has been steadily increasing over the past few years. There were 19 races in the 2010 season and 20 races in the 2011 season. The 2009 season had only 17 races. The number of tracks/races keeps changing every year.
When you have gold on all races and all tracks you unlock level 100.
